MortaliTea with Death Doulas Hailey Dixon + Kimberly Arjes + Holistic Coach ashley hunt

Illuminations Studio at Cherry Building

What is your legacy? What parts of you will remain in some way on this earth once you’re gone? MortaliTea invites you into conversation with your impermanence, to explore legacy.

We’ll start the evening with a welcome and a bit of getting to know each other before moving into a creative visioning project suitable for all- even those of you who right now may be thinking you’re not the creative type! All materials are provided for a mixed media creation calling into focus what is important to us and what we aspire to be and do.

Once we’ve spent some time with our creative process we’ll come together for an intentional blue lotus tea ceremony. Blue lotus tea carries a sacred history in relation to death, grief, and transitions dating back to ancient Egyptian cosmology. The blue lotus will build us a bridge between here and the afterlife. As we sip, we’ll write our own obituary.

From here our tea-state will carry us off into a Mortality mediation to the tune of a sound bath. Those who wish to do so may be wrapped in a burial shroud for our sound mediation. Coming back down to earth we’ll share a grounding plant based meal and close with a circle discussing what came up and how we want to integrate these MortaliTea insights into our life to leave the legacy we wish.
